something doesnt smell right about that place

and i dont mean the bathrooms or concession stands either.This is a racetrack run like a back alley bookie joint.No real sense of trying to become a viable track.Pass them a piece of paper with a drivers name wrote on it at the ticket window and get discount general admission.Almost like placing a bet with a bookie.Only racetrack i have ever been to that cost me five bucks to get in and at the end of the night i felt like they should have gave me 4 of it back.MY honest opinion is its a money laundering operation.The night i was there there wasnt 100 people in the stands COUNTING KIDS.Obviously its losing money,MRS YOUNG ACKNOWLEGED THAT,but at that point wouldnt you start making drastic changes which she hasnt.If not why not?

You CAN make changes for little to no money.

1.Enter an agreement with Yoho at Showtime Speedway and Williams at Full Throttle and run a promoters series with them against or in compitition with the FUPS promoters.Agree to rule changes with them and can help offset operating costs.

2.You can do more ad work than out-dated scheduling and resultsFirst,you can submit results,story ideas to the Levy county newspaper,for FREE.
Papers will run these stories considering Bronson is the biggest sports ventue in the county.

3.Local cable TV.A local cable spot on a Ocala cable operator can be produced,showed locally for about 50 bucks.Maybe less.check into it.

4.NBC Sports Universal is looking to expand racing coverage in 2014 ang 2015.
Advertise and promote a race similar to the Governor's cup at New Smyrna Speedway or the Snowball Derby in Pensacola,to bring in huge crowds and drivers.YES,this will take money to promote,but you can get sponsors and large auto and race companies to help sponsor laps of a race,help print for you to sell a race program that you can maKE MONEY WITH,MORE CONSESSIONAIRES,and numerous other things you can generate income from,oh and by the way,have the race showed nationally to generate interest to Bronson.

Several of us went to the "meet and greet" and that was as far as it went. The only other person that comes to mind who is totally un qualified for the position they currently hold is Obama. This lady is a total moron. We warned her, and her "New York, how we do it up North" attitude bit her in the ass just like we said it would. On the bright side of things, when she finally completely loses her ass up there the next person can get it for a bargain. Its a shame because this is a fun little track to race at. It just needs a real promoter and some work done.

If you actually believe this is 'how they do it up north, you obviously have never been to ANY track up there. 90% of the tracks up there put EVERYTHING done in Florida to shame. You want to see shitty tracks, you're surrounded by them right here in FLA.

Jerry that is not true. I spent a lot of time Up North.. There are some real great tracks that are well run. There are some real trashy tracks also.
The first time I went up there I asked if these tracks were still running? They told me because they race only 20 weeks that they all look like this. Bear field was the worst I ever saw in 1991.
They have build a few new tracks that are great .Erie pa that's a real track.
I have never been to any that were run like Bronson.
I have spent a lot of time at Holland Speedways regular shows and it is a class act.
Went to Stafford a few times also and saw good racing and officals that knew there jobs.
Tried some of the smaller tracks in Pa and eastern NY that were lost.There are tracks north and south that need some help but I would not call them Shitty.
I have been going to Bronson for 32 years and have seen it sold out many times.
My hope is that they get on track or change promoters or staff.
Looks like inverness is going threw some changes. After the smoke settles we will see.

That's what she told us.....I don't disagree with you on the shitty tracks down here either. I sold all my shit because of the problems. ChumpCar is the way to go to avert the bullshit factor, save some money and still have a great time.
