I have been running mini stocks for several years now and would like to see if we can get the tracks in central Florida to have a common class. Citrus, Showtime and A-Dale all have different mini stock classes. Having a car that can only run at one track is not good. I would like to run on off weeks without having to make a bunch of changes to the car. I currently run at Citrus and have tried Adale but was told i needed to make changes before i come back. We have 3 Dodges that would run all three tracks if the rules allowed.
WE'VE MOVED!!!

Hate to be cynical but here's what happens.
5-10% of guys in any class are true racers and would be able to take a look at what you have and say "sure make him add 50 lbs", or whatever was decided fairly and openly. Because they love the competition and want to win against a large field of whomever whenever...the more the merrier.
But
Then there's other 90%. They wanna win but know, though they would never admit, that basically they suck and couldn't win if god was their car owner. They would consider racing against themselves and maybe one other guy, just as bad or worse then them, a win because they got a trophy to take home.
Those 90%ers are JUST as important to a successful show as the 10%ers and all are needed. If you show up and beat the 90ers with a car from a different track with different rules, no matter how "equalized" you are the 90ers are going to cry and take their toys and go home mad and might not come back.
Not to say track owners are right for having all these different rules, they aren't, it sucks, but in many cases the current crop of track owners inherited the problem of all these different classes. I dunno what the answer is, but I DO know I have seen and heard this very thing for years.
