  • the best way to get new racers out of the stands and on the track

Its got to be Crash A Rama, one of the few motorsports that money has not ruined. Do you have some junk sitting around that runs? That is about all it takes and you can compete in the Crash A Rama that coming this Friday.

Better yet, put a new driver in your car for their first time. Someone who is interested, but has not made the leap from fan to participant.

I know that some racers don't like the whole C.A.R. concept, but I do. I've had the pleasure of being in a few of them and certainly enjoyed the racing (and crashing) that went along with it.

Good luck to Chuck, Moe, all the mini Moes, Smokin' Joe and whoever else runs C.A.R. and reads this board.

I am taking 4 friends to Speedworld; two of whom have never been to a race before, so y'all better put on a good show!

C.A.R brings out the people so you..........

...................need to put on the best show of racing in your class to bring them back. In years past I would hear drivers at the track complain about the big showes coming in and cutting out their heats and running features only for more money at the back gate. I would try to explain to them that, that was their chance to perform in front of a big crowd. Go out and give the fans a great show in each and every class so the fan is now a fan of your class. They just never got it. Who cares who bring in the fans as long as you have a chance to make them your fans. GROW THE SPORT! Just my thoughts.

Slinger actually rents track cars. they've got 10 or so big ol full size sleds that are heavily built and not all that fast ( probably all 305's or 302's ). they sell tickets to the general public or packages to businesses. the noob's normally don't seem to crash them up that bad.
