Truth or rumor?

It's probebly not a rumor but (it don't surprise me) is the Hendry County Speedway up for sell again? If it is and nobody can afford it (it won't surprise me) will it be shut down by next year if not before?

What a shame if the scales of rumor are tilted more towards the truth.
You could not ask for a better location being right in the middle of the state on a major highway between the east and west coast. Not to mention the fact that this is the only oval track this far south in these United States.

Oh well, another one bites the dust. (It don't surprise me)

Was there last night. The lights are good, the surface was pretty darn good. It would be a shame to lose this neat little track. Would hate to see this track go away.

They need more room in the pit area and grandstand area needs a little more curb appeal. But that was a heck of a barbeque sandwich.

If the rumor is true....who ever takes this great track over, PLEASE try to get some sprint car racing going. This is a good track for getting Florida sprint car racing back together. It is in the right location, nice and wide, and alot of cars will come if the purse is right. There are alot of cars that would pull to that track due to it's location. Right now there are alot of cars sitting and not alot of tracks running. If the played their cards right, they could pull around 20 cars every race. That's if they: ( just my thoughts)

1)don't book dates on top of the other tracks
2)Run fair rules that don't cost the owners alot( Eastbay rules,FSCA rules, USA rules, sorry no open 360's)
3) pay a desent purse thru the field( $200 to start)
4)communication!!!
