need help on transmission brand

Couple years ago, a top name Florida driver got busted for an illegal transmission on one of Fl short track. Story stated that they use that ultra low friction(drag) tranny on NA$car Cup car on Super Speedway, bcuz it take next to 0 HP to turn. What is the name (brand) of that tranny?
