              Yes

Yes it was Jared. He has been sore all week but not being hurt more is unbelievable as hard as he hit. The track needs to think of a way to make walls like that a little safer. I took some pics of the car when we unloaded it and all I can say thank god he takes safety first in his cars.

J20..I thought of that too.Only thing I can see needing fixed is the angle of the wall IE the back pit entrance is there.I thought IF that was a concrete wall like most tracks that hit would have been much much worse.I believe thats a soft wall if you will,it absorbed some of the force. The bad thing about it was the wall acts like a rubber band at that force sending the car back on track in a roll over.Man if that was a concrete wall that car hit straight on,who knows how much that front end would have given in to absorb that kind of blow.
Thank goodness he is all right,He was flying around that track, 3 wide off of turn two begs a lot of trust when the racing line was high as it was.

Jeff, three wide commin of turn 2, I think the middle car bumbed into the side of him, thus the wreck.

One thing for sure and a reminder to all drivers, keep the belts as tight as possible. If his belts were at all loose this story would have had a different ending.

New management should address that ASAP, it should have been fixed years ago anyways. That is track layout safety 101...

I haven't been to Volusia a lot but I've seen more than one incident at that particular spot.

That happened so quick that it was difficult to see from the front stretch stands, glad to hear that driver wasn't hurt much. Sadly those kinds of things often leave the car owners not much left to work with.

There was a car on the track running well off the pace for several laps that Jared and another car came up on quickly and that was the real cause of the wreck... Had that car been black-flagged or just stayed out of the way, the wreck would never have happened...
