  • Citrus - Fups - Powell - Great Show !!!

Waiting to read about this fantastic night of racing which was witnessed by an almost packed grandstand. Powell 125 had 26 Late Models starting the FUPS POWELL 125. Race had it all. Passing on both the inside and outside. Webster doing a double outside pass to take lead on Lap 29. Wayne Anderson coming from 10th starting spot for the win. Action galore in this feature. Side by side racing between Webster & Neuman for several laps, also the same between Anderson & Webster later on. Five laps to go Webster made a diving pass attempt on the inside going into four, pulled even with Anderson, then got loose and Anderson went on for win. Truly a stellar field of Late Models. Looks like FUPS is alive and well. Nice car counts in the regular Citrus divisions with some really good racing. The night had it all. Action, color, sound, tight racing, cautions, concessions running out of items. Just like the old days. Thanks to all who made this fantastic night of racing one to be remembered. Many happy fans!!!

I agree, what a great race, I like the Andersons so it was a good night of racing for me and Dad, This race was just about as good as our first trip to CCS in 1989 or 90 USA late model.

              2 wide racing

good race- great track and managment. if FUPS can get away from A-Dale (rex guy) and maybe pick up punta gorda or desoto, I see a lot of hope for the series, but that is a big "if". citrus county speedway is a class act.

Once again, Don can't tell the truth. It was never mentioned that Pensacola would be a 'better show'..... what I said was that with 2 races (P-cola & Mobile) they had a better chance of seeing a race if one rained out.

Glad it was a great show, but once in a while, it wouldn't hurt to tell the TRUTH Don.

I'm the one who said I'd go to P-cola over Citrus.. I stand by that comment. Glad it was a good show but my point was, given the distance that particular fan was going to travel, they had a better chance of seeing a race on a double header than a single show. As it turned out, P-cola ran and Mobile rained out.
