Two Articles in News Journal

The Daytona Beach NewsJournal had a couple of articles on VSP and NSS recently. The VSP one talked with the new lessees and discussed their progress to date. They seem like good people with a solid plan so far.

The NSS one ended with this hopefully foretelling quote from the George Silbermann (VP of Short Track crap @ NASCAR):

"The two sides are working on a plan to bring a regional series race – or two – to the track in February. NASCAR hosted the inaugural UNOH Battle At The Beach program, which featured the K&N Pro and Whelen Modified series, during 2013 Speedweeks.

“We are discussing the best ways to sync,” Silbermann said. “We are early in the discussions, but we are really excited about the opportunities this presents.”

Good to see them get some ink...Years ago the weekly results from both tracks were posted in the News Journal sports section weekly...How about a local driver featured in the weekend paper,with pics???

Would also like to see the tracks advertise in the paper,maybe include a discount admission coupon?

Those " regional series races " will be the K&N Series. I just hope NASCAR doesn't begin to crowd out the traditional Speedweeks show at NSS with their own racing series. I don't know that i'd travel over there for a 5 night series of K&N cars INSTEAD of the Northern Mods, Sprints and Super Lates.
The UNHOH Battle on the Track Apron probably should have been run at NSS or OSW to begin with.
