Our short track community has reason for optimism as our state welcomes two promoters to Florida. One is know to many of us: Ronnie Bacelo has joined Full Throttle Speedway, and will be working full time on promotions and marketing. Let me tell you something about this guy; when Ronnie throws a party people line up to get in! He is a former promoter, a life-long fan, a colorful driver who had much success, and who recently left his business as a graphic designer/sign man. You heard it here first: he will do an excellent job at FTS!
Also, Bob Watson from Lee USA Speedway in NH is on the job at Orlando Speedworld. The track is off for a few weeks as Bob is organizing the grand opening on August 3. Here is a guy who has a few decades of experience and success in race promotion. I have to think that having him in charge of the nicest track in the state (IMHO) will be a winning combination.......if it ever quits raining around here!
Ronnie...Bob...we need you to nail it and rebuild our sport, so good luck to both!
