Where are these drivers now?

This is some of the racers over the last few years that I have seen race week in and week out at NSS and OSW and have not seen at all this year. I am sure I will think of plenty more but these were all track champions at one point.

I hung out with Tim McPhail on Monday. He has retired from racing. He and Donna run two businesses, and they are taking care of an ill family member in their home, so there is no time for racing.

Jeff Wright raced last week. Kelly Jarrett is at the track every week. He is helping his son with a Super Stock, and his dad with a TBARA sprint.

I get your point; there are lots of good racers on the sidelines.

Jeremy Fitch saw him awhile back and he didn't say what he was doing.

Matt Wheeler was racing at NSS and said he would come to Orlando when he could but Friday night racing was hard.

George Spears sold his car last I heard.

Ron Whaley not sure where Ron is right now.

Jason Foster still has his Sportsman and comes to the track to help the man who bought his super stock. As for everyone, money does not come easy to Jason either.

Brian Bellaw was running someone else's Mini and don't know what happened to him but I know he is still around.

Charlie Collins did not have time to race last I heaqrd.

Ted Head came to Orlando not long ago with a Modified which is what Ted was driving when I first met him. He also came last year with a Sportsman from time to time. But he is still racing when he can.

Billy Spade don't know where he is at all.

Jim Winnerstein not sure about him either.

David Castello ran a Modified at Ocala all last year until it turned dirt.

Steven Simpson had a Late Model at NSS.

Jeff Wright ran a Classic car last year at Orlando and brings his Sportsman when he can to Orlando. But Jeff is still around, just racing less than in the past.

Richard Hight I guess quit last year. He had talked about how expensive it was for him and have not seen him at all this year.

Tim Mcphail is home now like Boneman said.

Kelly Jarrett is at the track every Friday with Matt Jarrett and I was told they are working on a new Mini stock motor. Money for them, just like everyone else, does not grow on or in trees.

Barry and his wife moved to Seattle and he is no longer in the area. Not sure why James is not racing but next time I see Jason Foster, I will ask him since they are good friends.
