My old high school buddy Paul Brown unearthed this old Rocket Speedway (the track was also called Sunbrock Speedway) from the early 1950s... They certainly had some unique promotion... stuff you don't see today... Including drivers "risking their lives at breakneck speed..."

The appearance of a movie star sure smacks of a Larry Sunbrock promotion. He was notorious for advertising celebrities as part oh his shows. The 8:30 start time is certainly a throwback as well.
