  • Milwaukee is the place to be

Today is practice day for a major event at the Milwaukee Mile, and this TUESDAY show is looking HUGE.

85 Super Lates entered, 67 through Tech, and 58 have been on track so far (Jeff Choquette not one of them, although he's there). Stout field when Kyle Benjamin is only 24th quick. Kyle Busch fastest so far. Steven Wallace 2nd quick.

Super-8 Series has 42 cars on hand.

The Mid-American Series has had 41 on track so far.

Also Vintage cars, but no car count seen yet.

    Yep..... mid-week shows don't work...!!!

I was thinking the same Bubba..... why isn't Choquette in the 29? I swore I saw a FB post earlier in the week that had Jeff all ready to go.

On the flip side, I'm becoming a fan of the talents of Brett Moffitt. The guy can wheel a racecar, and I was glad to see him near the top of the charts..... until I saw that he was in Jeff's car. Mixed feelings now. Good driver, good car, but somehow my favorite for this race doesn't even have a ride.

            Bummer.

Looks like 62 Super Lates will take time and 47 Big-8 Series cars...

Cool to see Joe Nemechek racing with his son today... John Hunter was eighth quick in final practice and Joe was 13th...

Also NW U.S. standout Garrett Evans is there too...

Wow, kind of a disappointing race for all the hype. Bush goes from 14th to the lead in a half a second and then leads the whole thing by a mile. One big wreck and that was the only caution. Then they cut the race short due to not having any lights. I guess I'm used to the snowball derby type competitiveness if you have that many good drivers on the track. The best part was the qualifying, Crazy some of the drivers that only got in due to provisionals. I'm looking forward to the world crown 300 now, hopefully a lot better than that. Maybe you had to be there.

Hope Jeff gets in a good ride soon then. .great talent.

Have to agree about the race aside from the number of cars it was a bit of a letdown over the radio anyhow. Busch is amazing though. The derby has never disappointed me in terms of passing and competition.

Well, Kyle goes in and steals the money and the glory again lol...

How about Joe Nemechek... I can't remember the last time he drove a Super Late, but he finishes sixth and also has bragging rights over his kid...

Maybe Choquette knew what he was doing... I'm pretty sure the team he was driving for had Brett Moffitt in the car and it blew up on the first lap... finished dead last...

Another nice run for Becca Kasten too...
