  • Now HERE is how to fill a speedway....

Marshfield Speedway in Ohio has this event scheduled for a THURSDAY night.

It is the White Knight 99, in tribute to Dick Trickle. This race will start 43 cars, and each one receives 2 FREE tires, and 2 FREE pit passes, and pays $3000 to win.

On the FAN side, adult admission is only $4.99, Students are only $2.99, and kids under 8 are free. Also for the adults, Pabst Blue Ribbons will be flowing at only $.99 per beer.

I bet they PACK the place, even though "mid-week shows won't work"....!

Wisconsin- Trickle was from Wisconsin Rapids just a little SE of Marshfield WI........and yes the stands and pits will be packed.

also Slinger is running a Trickle memorial race as part of the Slinger Nationals on Tuesday July 2. 199 laps, $9999 to win, $999 to start.......yes the stands and pits will be packed.

Trickle was such a part of the World Series at New Smyrna; why not the same promotion at NSS during SpeedWeeks?

99-lapper for the Super Late Models. $9,900 to win. $10.99 adult admission, $5.99 kids 12 and under. 99-cent beer at the concession stands.

Problem is, if NSS decided to do something like that, the only people who would even know about it are the people who read this message board.
We've all heard about the Slinger race. How many people around the Slinger Speedway area would know about a Trickle tribute at NSS. That's the difference in promoting and marketing race tracks. Some know how, some don't.
