Anthony Campi posted a picture of a Ashley Rogero hot-lapping the #81 at Full Throttle.Don't know if she's driving it saturday,although her name is on the car.I dont know if Campi's bringing out 2 #81's or not.I guess we'll know tomorrow night.

Jimmy, It is Rogero, not Rodeo. Probably a Grand Daughter or Niece or some kind of relation.

Ashley Rogero

Ashley Rogero is the real deal. Keep an eye out for her name in the future. No Danica wanna-be, just a real talent. She has multiple national championships under her belt racing karts and is more often on the top tier of the podium at national events than not. Last month she was invited to the star-studded field of several NASCAR and ALMS drivers in the TaG Senior GoPro Karting Challenge at Moresville Motorplex. The 15 year old Rogero smoked Denny Hamlin, Matt Crafton, Jamie McMurray, Justin Allgaier, Scott Speed, Jason Bowles, Andrew Palmer and Colin Braun. It apparently opened some eyes. I heard that she was only a couple of tenths off on her first test in the #81, (and first time on an oval) not sure if there is truth to it or not.....

Thanks Tk51.. To answer some questions.. I am Jim Rogero, Ashley Rogero's father.. My uncle is Larry Rogero. Ashley is in her 10th year of Kart Racing and is 15 years old. She wants to move up to the next level and we are testing the waters to see what that next level is. She has tested open wheel and closed wheel cars on road courses. Just recently she tested in ACR's late model. So far the stock car has seemed to be the direction that she likes.
She has a kart race in Ocala this weekend and we leave from Ocala Sunday night to head up to Hickory Speedway to test a Nascar Late Model for Andy Petree.
I think it would be great if she was to follow my uncle's path.
P.S. It was really cool seeing Jimmy Shelnut at the race track this week end. The last time I saw him, he had no grey hair and was a kid.
