1. 1987: Largo's Dave Pletcher first and only attempt at NA$CAR Winston Cup racing in Larry Moyer's Ernie Haire Ford-sponsored Thunderbird. The result? A 37th place finish at Talladega in the Winston 500.
2. Pete Orr's Busch Grand National attempt from 1996.
3. 1987: Donnie, Lonnie, and Ronnie Strickland from Vero Beach, Florida at Pensacola's Five Flags Speedway. Ronnie would lose a battle with cancer in 1988, and the All-Pro Series would name its "Mechanic of the Year" award after him. By the way, that's many-time Hooter's Pro Cup champ Bobby Gill's Vinyl-Tech #24 hauler in the background, along with Daniel Keene's.
4. 1972: Golden Gate Speedway, Tampa: some pretty heavy hitters here. Bobby Brack in the Beanpickers #zer0, Freddy Fryar in the Honest Charlie's Speed Shop 15, and I believe Randy Tissot in the white #74. Looks to be Jim Gray's #02 Chevelle (the blue car) in the infield.
5. 1986: Hank the Crank 250 at Five Flags (Pensacola). Butch Lindley in Frankie Grill's #12 leads Jody Ridley and Freddy Fryar down the backstretch, before the concrete wall was put up. I believe this is the same race where Bigley and Nemechek went over the banking and Bigley ended up on Nemechek's roof (Dave's got a pic of that somewheres...). This was JUST prior to Lindley getting severely injured at Bradenton.
