Saw on Showtime's FaceBook that they're runnin' SLM's "for practice during our regular show". Here's the post:

"BIG DADDY "DAVE PLETCHER, SCOFIELD, DEMPSEY, AND POSSIBLY MORE SUPERS WILL BE PRACTICING TOMORROW NIGHT (JUNE 29) AT SHOWTIME, DURING OUR NORMAL SHOW. TRACK IS OPEN FOR ALL SUPER LATE MODELS. 3 PRACTICE SESSIONS DURING OUR REGULAR SHOW. That's a bush league move by Robert Yoho. I don't understand why he would do that. I guess that's what we call competiton. One promoter trying to out do the other for cars. Maybe next week Kevin Williams should do a $1000 dash for cash latemodel race. Ha ha talk about stirring something up !!!

What a jerk. We were planning on going for the sprint cars, and I really don't care to watch 3 late model practice sessions during the night. Who the heck want to watch practice? And with the ever-looming threat of rain now he's just stretching the program out longer. Pavement racing is boring enough as it is without multiple practice sessions. Grow a pair and get like us dirt guys, 5 hot laps and then race the thing. I'm not even 5 minutes from Showtime at my shop right now and it's totally pouring. Maybe he'll get rained out and FTS wont, that's proper karma for you.

Despite facebook posts suggesting otherwise, there were only 2 late models at showtime last night that took laps during the practice sessions. I have no idea if there were others in the pits that never came out. So I guess it really didn't matter. Also on the topic of those facebook posts, it was posted that there were over 20 sprint cars in attendance. Um, not quite.

From what I just read in another post I don't know if I would be using Pletcher to promote something right now until the mess he is in, both personal and legal gets cleared up. Could be a liability on the track.
