    Background..

None of you would know me since I and my family are not from the area. I grew up on a farm in the Pacific Northwest and from the first day I could turn a wrench was working on making things go faster. Started with friends drag cars and motorcycles. This eventually led to working on sprint and mini-sprint cars. Still enjoy watching the sprints on asphalt as well as dirt. Moved to the Charlotte, NC. area and helped friends there with their legends and baby grand cars for a number of years. My son's are both into different aspects of racing. My oldest has a legends car that he raced when he was living in Wisconsin and Minnesota and my younger son is into the drifting part of motorsports. Besides working the pits and driving, atleast my son's both drive, we bring an extensive business background especially for taking properties and businesses that have been run into the ground and left for dead. As you all know the track is a mess and something that we are aware of and have background in. Hope this gives you a better idea of who and what we are about. If you have more questions please feel free to contact me.... Jamie Haase

      Not even close

Sadly, i think there's a new industrial park or shopping mall on the horizon for Punta Gorda.
Not sure where you got your information from but not even close to reality. As we stated in all the articles and interviews that we have given over the past few days we are an Indiana based company that is moving our entire operation to the Punta Gorda area. We don't develop shopping malls or industrial parks.....never have and never will. We are a family with a true love of racing and want to bring back a race track that not only the racers will enjoy coming to but the community as a whole. We are going to need a lot of community support and not just the racing community to help bring this facility back to a fully functional venue. Hope you will give us a chance to actually get started before putting us down. Jamie Haase

Thank you for the information, let's hope you can make something of that track. It's nice of you to invite contact for people with questions, but the biggest question is how do we contact you.

          Not exactly right either...

I'm considering building a car again and living in Ft. Myers don't want to pull all the way up to Desoto or Tampa. So that definitely will play a factor in my decision on weather to build or not. Hopefully someone will be able to answer some questions soon..
Just to clear up another bit of information..... We did not get a 20 year lease on the speedway. We have a 3 year lease with 2 one year options if all parties agree. As for the purses the one thing that you will get with Three Palms Speedway is that the dollar amount we post for the race will be the same amount paid out no matter what the car count is. Having been on the racing side it makes no sense to haul a car 100 miles to only find out that the purse has been cut to $200 because the promoter states there isn't enough cars. It isn't the drivers responsibility to get cars there...it is the promoters. We will also be making it very easy for drivers to register for upcoming races and helping cut their expenses in doing so but more on that as we get closer to racing. Our hope is that you build the car and come over and give us a try....... Jamie Haase

I can't speak for Mr. LaPlant on this matter but I will tell you that I made contact for the first time with Pam Seay or any of the board in late March just prior to the previous promoters lease expiring. I was treated with nothing but respect and professionalism by Ms. Seay. She conveyed the information that I was looking for and has been an advocate for the race track since I first started talking to her. I personally think the racers are lucky to have her on the board....otherwise I am not sure the track would ever re-open. Jamie Haase

You can contact me off of our web page, which was also started back a few months ago with our facebook page...lol....or email me directly at jamiehaase@threepalmsspeedway.com. I do welcome any question that either myself or my son's can answer regarding the track or future plans. I realize I got a little long on my responses on here but I don't want people running around talking about the track with incorrect information. We know the racing community is a tight knit group and we are looking forward to becoming a part of it in SW Florida..... Jamie Haase

I'll probably be contacting you in the future concerning ticket prices and schedule. Since you're new to Florida racing and haven't had time to develop the bad habits of the majority of track owners and promoters yet, please DO post info, results, photos, announcements, and progress reports on this and all other available outlets. We fans would welcome information.

                  Welcome crimsoncat/Jamie Haase.

Please prepare yourself as you have offered to communicate with the masses......they now WILL unfortunately try to tell you how to run your new venue. Then, get mad when it's not their way. Florida is no different than any other state with track problems.

It is a good thing the track is coming back to life. I wish you much success.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

While I am sure you are up to your neck in questions and problems at the track. We would appreciate any info you could share on what classes you intend to run. And rules packages as soon as they are available. We have several cars just sitting that don't match up to any current track rules. we want to be able to change cars once to fit someones rules.

                      Thanks

If you did your homework you would know that there was 3 race tracks in Florida at that time, that we were aware of, that were actively for sale. We did not disclose the name because we signed confidentiality agreements with the owner not to disclose any of the dealings that we had with him because he did not want It to be out in the public eye. That was his choice not ours. We had at that time a verbal agreement for price and start dates but the deal fell through. Since we have been actively looking for a track to purchase for almost 2 years we decided to keep our facebook page and website so that we would not have to re-create all the work that had already been done. We don't believe in re-creating the wheel when it is already done. During our process of looking at the other track we made a number of trips to the Punta Gorda Speedway scouting, at that time a track that we thought would be one of our competitors, to see how they were operating and what we liked about their operation and track. We did the same with all the tracks around Florida, New Smyrna, Orlando, Auburndale, Desoto, Showtime, Sebring, Daytona, etc. With purchase deal no longer a possibility we moved on to other options. We knew of the lease problems that Mr. Williams/Chase were having here and decided to sit tight for a couple of months to see how that all turned out. With them making the decision not to renew their lease we made contact with the board about the possibilities and to see what the process would be. This has all led us to this point. Hopefully this answers your question more clearly. Jamie Haase
So Mr. Haase... Matt Albee is your son??? I like his ideas.

Did I do my homework on this??? No. I just call it like I see it... after asking a question that I am sure others were wondering themselves.

Do I know any of these people involved??? Not a one of them... I am just a paying customer, with over thirty years experience being a race fan.. That's all.

Good luck with your track... I will save my gas money and go to someone else's. I hope that answers YOUR question more clearly.

This is the attitude to bring to Florida racing. I think you'll do well. You seem to be doing things the right way so far. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for the comment. One of the differences we have from some of the other tracks is we have someone who will be doing this on a full time basis. You can always see what is coming up on either our web page or facebook page listed below. Jamie Haase

We have been down this road before with some of our other business ventures and this one will be no different. I have no problem talking to the masses so that the correct information is being put out to the public. We are always willing to listen to new ideas or problems that people want to express to us that might help us run more efficiently and make for a better event no matter what that event might be. As with all things with my company the final decision is mine unless they want to start paying some of the bills as well...It is amazing how many people have already contacted me privately to tell me how to fix the track....including past promoters.

The track is going to come back to life....and we hope that everyone will give us a try but we do realize that as consumers you make the decisions on where you spend your hard earned money. The one thing I can promise is that you will not find a harder working management team or more accessible than mine. Jamie Haase
