  • Thanks to the folks at NSS for a nice night!!!

A big thank you to the folks at NSS especially when all you read about lately are the negatives of Florida short track racing. Last night at NSS all Dad's were admitted free for Father's day and a very large turnout enjoyed the night of racing. Although the car count was low, (still better than the previous couple of times I have been there this year,) the night appeared to be a huge success. The on track interviews conducted by Mark were very entertaining. Drivers sincerely thanking the crowd for the turnout was a nice change from the ho-hum you usually hear at races end. Combining the pro trucks & super stocks really helped in the presentation. At least you had 11 cars on track and not one division of two. In my opinion this was a great move. Supers always good at NSS, as well as Mini Stocks. The burnout by the #111 e-mod at the end of the feature more than made up for the small mod count. Nice to see Shyanne Mathers in the Street Stocks gaining more and more fans each and everytime I attend NSS. Cheering in the stands once again is present as she races the field. Great job by the staff and all who helped put on this show. Was planning on heading over for the Sprints at Citrus next week but after hearing Clouser, Sergi, & Johnson being interviewed at intermission plus the announcement of the $5.00 off admission price with last night's rain check I have changed my mind. See you next week NSS for the Pro Late 100..... In closing just want to say "THANKS" again.....

Don't forget along with that Ticket Stub, if you bring a friend we will give them $5.00 Off this Sat. also. So that will be a $10.00 savings!

Thank you for recognizing the hard work that was put in to last nights event. There are people that work their butts off and when everything comes together seldom get the credit. But they ALWAYS get the criticism.

    Thanks again.
    Happy Father's Day

Can't say for sure, but this sounds like it was written by an employee or relative of an employee. I don't remember ever hearing " ho-hum " at the end of a race.
It's nice to see a track making a common sense effort to bring in the fans. Might have created some new life long fans with the young folks bringing their dads to the track. And combining classes is going to happen state wide, it's just a question of time.

There was actually a pretty decent crowd there, bigger than I've seen in a while. Car counts were pretty bad.

Thanks for not posting the results of the races. I guess the $5 coupons are more important. GET A CLUE !!!

Results can also be found under the 'Schedule' tab by scrolling to that date. Under the information listed for that date should say 'Official Results' with a link.

Please be sure to hit the 'Refresh' button and/or 'F5' key to ensure you are viewing the 'latest' page and not a 'cookie' or 'cache' version stored in your computer.

NSS also has a decent crowd on birthday night.Proof that if you give fans good deals they will come out to the track!

Would like to see tracks lower back gate admission to attract more racers.
$100 bucks to get yourself and 3 crew/family members into the pits can be a deal breaker for most.
