Its a shame that we drive farther to race now and he drops the payout!!

dd38 we run 450 lefts and 650 rights treaded Hoosier.

Scott, the purse hasnt dropped but got bigger. people are mad if you dont post, people mad if you do, some mad if its not enough, (so they think) just cant please everyone in this sport.
it is only a 25 lap race also.

I know this might not be the thread to do this but, I have been kinda bouncing around wherever is racing when we wanna go & I have to say that while I have not been to Citrus or Orlando yet, which we plan to go to eventually, I absolutely love racing at Showtime & I also really enjoyed racing at Full Throttle. I heard alot of negative stuff said about both places, its owners, the purse, etc etc. & I have yet to see any of the things I was warned to watch out for & both of these places are on our list of potential places we race at weekly next season with 3 cars. I have not personally spoken to or met either owners but I know every person I have talked to are very kind & decent. The officials at full throttle were very understanding when we were there with some issues & the flagman even come down & offered to let us get a few laps before racing started to make sure the issue was gone. As far as the racing, I know its not always going to be this way but, every race I ran (2 at showtime & 1 at full throttle) there was zero cautions, the racing was hard but respectful. The only thing I do not care for, but is done the same everywhere, is the way race line ups are determined as full inversions always make for better racing but, is what it is. When compared to the series races we run, before choosing to not run any longer because of several issues with the biggest one being the fact they the first 2 we did run were nothing but wreckfests with people just running over & driving through each other every 5 laps. I seen for myself & have been told the series race that was just run was just as bad as the first 2. As far as the purse versus regular shows, we didnt have to pay any entry fee, rent any slab & the pay was actually better than the series when all expenses are factored in with the series versus the weekly shows. Not trying to shoot down the series BUT I know how I seen things & I think the owners & officials at Showtime & Full Throttle should continue doing what they are doing.....Keep up the good work!

I like the fact that you post your payouts. I dont blame you for dropping the purse when there are only 6 cars. But this day in age you will be lucky to get 12 to 15 cars on an average. so cutting the purse if there is less than 16 doesnt make sence to me and will turn people away. We cant even break even with a win at $ 600. There is one thing you folks can do to improve your car count in the mod class...........STOP scheduling on top of showtime?? and possibly run the same dam tire........You will get more cars..its just good buisness ?? Other than that Thank You for bringing life back to a an awesome track..........................D Miller

Run the same tires at both tracks, and then do it like the old days in the Fig-8's....... Run them first at Showtime, run them last at Desoto. No new tires at the 2nd show. Some will make it to one or the other. And hopefully many will do both.

I was told they were going to slicks?
I like the payout structure. The cars will come out on slicks, check out the poll that was taken on this site 36 to 15.

8modified, if they switch to slicks and we have to buy 4 tires every time we go to the track to race, how many guys will keep coming back. Be cheaper to stay at Showtime and race and only put a couple tires on a week. Not saying we would have to every race it's just a scenario. I know if we had to buy 4 tires every time we show up we will not be back there to race. Just don't have the funds to do that anymore. See you soon at a track.

If you want to run up front you have to buy tires, all I want is to run the same tire every where we go, have a total purse that we can run on and stop running on a street stock tire that give up when you piss it off.
The purse that Full throttle has posted works for me, the only thing I see with it is the car count factor. I was told by a very competant person that after this race they are going to slicks. Thats all I know.

yes you have to buy tires to run up front but not necessarily four tires all the time. all good. we will be at FTS this weekend with our modifieds so i guess we will find out for sure.
