Heard that Bubba from BRP is very interested in purchasing Punta Gorda Speedway, and turning it into a dirt track! When asked if this was true, Bubba neither confirmed or denied if it was true. Sure hope this rumor has legs!

To me it does t seem logical. He is already busy at Ocala on Saturday nights, and with his radio show, I can't see Friday being an option.
Secondly, where would the cars come from? The Racecars in that area are primarily asphalt cars. Possibly some New Hendry cars, and a few stragglers might pick them over East Bay, but it still leaves some pretty low numbers of cars to pull in.
I hope this rumor does have some legs.... but I'm not holding my breath on this one.Comment

I hear Hendry County cars would go anywhere that close to home just to be paid a decent purse. If his payouts matched or bettered Eastbay he could pick up cars. He could also just leave it asphalt. Seems there are some sore loosers already bullying KW into some potentially bad decisions.
