And you're too old to not be able to read full sentences. Go back and read the entire comparison and notice I'm comparing her points position to other drivers whom have run all of the races. My comparison has zero to do with her gender, and everything to do with results.

I had high hopes for Danica when she came over to NASCAR. However, in hindsight, she should have done a few more seasons in Nationwide. I'm still a fan and hope she hangs in there, it will be difficult but the more time behind the wheel will increase her skills in a stockcar.

Several of them became Cup Champions, several more became Daytona 500 winners, many more became established Cup stars and championship contenders, some died all too early while others had their cup careers ended because of serious injuries. Some others went on to race in other series and became champions there. Many others went on to have a small number of wins while others dropped out of their rookie season for various reasons. Almost all the others were in underfunded, even self funded teams that attempted to make the cut but couldn't. Some of the Indy car or F1 crossovers had good rides but didn't have any success in the Cup series. Few, if any of the others had the ride, money, or resources that Danica has. Now, I'll agree it's still early in the season and she did have a few decent runs. She may actually do well. I'm not rooting against her and I think she would be exceptionally good for the sport IF she does well. I think what most people have against her are the broadcast and fan cheerleaders, like yourself, who proclaim her great potential and stellar credentials. She also has the ability to turn people off with her interviews, when she almost always blames things on someone or something else and never takes responsibility (negative credit) for her mistakes. She may not have any control over how the media treats her or even her fans. She can control her attitude, start accepting responsibility, stop being arrogant, and start being humble. Just imagine her being like another rookie who never won in the cup series and didn't have much of a career in it. However, he did become a star of sorts in NASCAR racing because of his attitude. Imagine Danica with the personality and attitude of Kenny Wallace.Originally posted by Matt Albee View PostThat's an impressive list, what happened with the other 786 rookie contenders over the years?
The seasons not even half over yet, she just might join your list. So might Stenhouse. My photo site: http://www.rewingphotos.com

You're right, she has no control over the media coverage. And unfortunately for her, the god awful FOX network has been the only one to broadcast the races. So we get lot's of slobbering over Danica. Not her fault, she didn't write the script for them. With the coverage about to switch to other networks, I think you'll see a completely different coverage of her. By the way, their constant worship of all things Jimmy Johnson is WAYYY worse than the Danica coverage.Originally posted by Winger View PostSeveral of them became Cup Champions, several more became Daytona 500 winners, many more became established Cup stars and championship contenders, some died all too early while others had their cup careers ended because of serious injuries. I'm not in the market for a wife or a female best friend, so Danica's attitude during tv interviews doesn't really make much difference to me. There's plenty of attitude to go around when talking about sports personalities.
Now as for Kenny Wallace......watching his wife and kids while he's being interviewed over the years, I've gotten the impression that they often wish they had a baseball bat in their hand to use on old dad. Especially during that terrible tv series he had.
