That's right, the Checkered Flag Sprint Cars return to CCMP this sat night
6-7-08 to thrill the fans again for thirty laps of hold on to the edge of your
seat racing. This will be a night you will not want to miss, the Sportsman will
be running fifty laps for the start of new points and rule package, even King
James Dubose is thrashing on his car to be ready for this weekend. Open Wheel
Modifieds will run for thirty five laps and will hold a meeting over the new six
pack series set TO START JUNE 21ST, there have been many OW drivers interested
in this and Doug Moff who has not raced at the 3/8 mile track for some time is
throwing his hat in the ring for this one. If that wasnt enough, Outlaw modified
are here and always put on a good show, the only backbone classes will be
the Pro 4 and Fab 4, (NO FASTRUCKS THIS WEEKEND). And finally the Desoto Champ
Carts who usually bring close to thirty carts were ever they go.The "Thundering
Herd" of the Desoto Champ Kart Series will
make it's fourth appearance of 2008 at Charlotte County Motorsports Park in
Punta Gorda, on Saturday night, June 7.
The series would like to welcome any interested or curious folks to come into
the pit area, to meet our drivers and crews. This series has some of the
friendliest racers and crew anywhere.

Competition: In the last thirteen series events, ELEVEN different winners have
triumphed!
Our racers are simply grateful to be able to race at the "big tracks"!
The Desoto Champ Kart Series - A little different.... where racing is fun again!
The front gates open Sat at 4pm racing starts at 6pm
The pits will open Sat morning for open practice at 9am to 2pm
There will be no practice Friday night due to Go Kart Racing Under the Lights
the Gates open friday night for go karts at 5pm
