They won't do it for whatever reason. As a matter of fact they won't give you anything in writing. Hell they barely answer questions directly over the phone. It is always well I don't know I think it's around this or that. It's what we usually pay all the time. Then when you go to the pay window it's nothing of what you were told over the phone. I don't understand what is so hard about being up front with people!Originally posted by tom77hmstd View PostI may have missed it but I have checked Showtime and FTS aka Bradenton for payoffs and none are there.NSS and OSW have theirs posted. It would be nice to know what they are paying b4 we go .

The fact are that NNS and Orlando qualifies there payout with a low payout if only so many cars run. Showtime does not and the cars show up and are paid the same know matter now many show. Fifth place pay 300.00, how many tracks pay that on a regular night. I agree that the tracks should post there payouts and not qualify how many cars show up.

business
When the tracks complain about lack of cars, fans etc., it's all about business. For some reason, several tracks don't feel like negotiating or making agreements, & I don't mean changing their payouts, just agree on what they are. I couldn't get any work in my business, if I couldn't tell my customers what the charges would be. And sometimes I don't like the deals I make, but I honor them & correct it in the future. As I longterm fan, sponsor, & now car owner the business relationship between the racers & the tracks is very unique, in that both need each other, yet they really struggle to form mutually beneficial deals(relationships). Everyone needs to focus on one goal, racing success. I hope everyone focuses on putting on the best show we can, then all will benefit.Originally posted by SSMotorsports14 View PostThey won't do it for whatever reason. better pay at citrus
Fifth place pays $500 at citrus. There pay doesn't change with low car count. But it does go up when there is more than 16 cars plus every night Power Logging ( the Zarvels ) give 100-75-50 to the top 3 if you have there decal on your car.

People PLEASE do your homework before you post things about tracks that just ARE NOT true... I really could care less if someone has an opinion as everyone is certainly entitled, but PLEASE post FACTS.
8Modified - New Smyrna does NOT have different Purses based on Car Count. The Purses are posted clearly, across the board REGARDLESS of how many cars are there. YES, in the past they tried a graduated purse, but they have been back on a flat purse structure for a while.
And for the record, since everyone was cheering so loudly that OSW raised their Purse for the Top Three IF 15 or more cars show up... I made a post at the beginning of the Year that went largely unnoticed and certainly did not receive any bit of a reception on here, that NSS RAISED and in some cases DOUBLED ALL of their Purses for 2013, REGARDLESS of Car Count, all the way thru the field. Are these Purses the highest in the State, NO. But they are GUARANTEED.
And maybe, just maybe, if the Drivers appreciated the step taken by the track to try and get the Purses up and actually showed up in support of this, there would be a chance for another increase down the road.
NSS took the first step by doubling Purses... Now, IN MY OPINION, it's the Drivers turn to take the next one.
The Purses have been posted ONLINE, for everyone to see, since I first posted them back in 2009. http://newsmyrnaspeedway.org/?page_id=32Mark Keeler

Have not been to one of those as I read prices first. Can't help it I was raised that way. I should of said that all other tracks post payoff except FTS and Showtime but I did not want to single them out.
The pay does make a difference as to wether we go or not.We know we will NEVER make money but I need to know how much we have a chance of recovering. The money comes and goes.
The trophy we get to keep.

You are right you can't run any business like that. I can't do mine like that. Someone asks you how much will it cost me to do a job I can't tell a ballpark figure and say well we will see how it goes then go from there. I would get zero work! That is basically what they are doing. Making changes as the game is played. To whom's benefit? The track only! The racer loses and the fan does also because car count is affected due to the lack of honesty to the racer. That is why the series racing is better and typically has better car count because the series is upfront and honest with the racer. You know what to expect before you go. You can plan your finances for each race you attend. Rules enforcement is also another big issue on the same level as the payouts. If you know where you stand before you go you know what to expect when you leave. Being upfront and honest is the best way for everyone involved! They really should give it a try once! They would be pleasantly surprised I believe!Originally posted by renopower View PostWhen the tracks complain about lack of cars, fans etc., it's all about business. The last time I checked NSS had a reduced purse with 5 cars. If it has changed that is great. Now I can tow there and not worried about 250 to win..Originally posted by Voice of NSS View PostPeople PLEASE do your homework before you post things about tracks that just ARE NOT true... Orlando did not raise the purse in the SLM class. In fact it is lower than NSS. We got $325 for 3rd in our last outing 2 weeks ago. NSS is $400 for 3rd. $700 to win(10 cars or less $750 for 11 cars and up) at Orlando and $800 at NSS and doesn't have a minimun car count.

Well I just checked the 2013 payouts for normal Saturday night race and you are right it is now not qualifed. But your total payout for 18 car does not add up to what Showtime payout just to there top five cars. 1750 for 18 cars to Showtime top 5 getting 1800. The cars are going to the money, you can say that the winner is get the big check but screw the rest of you guys. The majority of us do not win the races but at least help us try recoup part of our cost.Originally posted by Voice of NSS View PostPeople PLEASE do your homework before you post things about tracks that just ARE NOT true... We used to run the TBARA and we would get good start money, then the promoters cut the purse in half and the cars sat at home. You have to make money but we need money to help us race and we will show up if you post full payouts.
