I'm told that in the FUPS ( ACOP series ) series you can only use Williams' gas, so I guess we'll just watch racing die while these idiots battle over who they can force to use their products.
I don't understand the thinking here. And not just gas, but tires and every other product. The guy who told me this says if he wants to compete at more tracks than just a couple, he has to drain out perfectly good gas and buy some other brand at the track ( paying top dollar of course ) which he can't afford. What's more, he said if he already has plenty of gas, he's still forced to buy more that he doesn't need ( again at top dollar ) because the tracks have agreements with the gas companies to force racers to buy a set number of gallons per race night. I remember this being an issue at NSS during Speedweeks this year. And tires might be the same way. How do the tracks expect racers to keep racing when they're made to spend money they shouldn't have to spend.
I don't know if all tracks and series are like this, but I don't know why any would be if they want to keep the car counts up.
