  • Mobile International Speedway

I got the opportunity to see a show last night. Very confusing classes.

The super stocks were latemodels, the sportsman looked like streetstocks, super latemodels were as expected.

    Bombers were like purestock (expected)

Seemed like a very fast track. All cars including bombers had rev limiters and was very annoying listening to the pop and break up halfway down the straights into the corners.

Very competitive sportsman race and even more competitive bomber race.

Latemodels were like watching a train go by.

Car counts were a bit thin but racy.

    Lates 11
    superstock 11 or 12
    sportsman about the same
    Bombers 19

Very small crown but a fast moving show. Not sure why they had so few fans, i don't think there are many asphalt tracks around that area.

What most tracks and some fans would call the (junk) class had most people standing during their race.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

The rev limiter is to keep the motors alive. Mobile has a reputation as a motor eater. It's freakin huge.
