Haven't been to quite a few of 'em - yet. I wanna get to Toledo, Kil-Kare, Shady Bowl, and maybe a couple more this year.
If you go to Kil-Kare I suggest you go the night they run the Robbie Dean Memorial. At least on that night they draw a halfway decent field of cars.Any other night you will probably regret it unless you like paying to see 8-10 cars max per division. The Bowl is still worth going to but has had the occasional low car count, but fortunately not every division every week.I haven't been to Toledo since maybe 1979 or 1980.My suggestion there is the Glass city 200 at the end of the season. Most all of the tracks in Ohio still run helmet dashes. They call them helmet, trophy,or just fast car dashes, but I haven't seen anyone still give an actual trophy to the winner anymore.I was away from the tracks for quite a few years since I was married to a girl who didn't like me racing.I just started coming back around a few years ago after she died.I haven't been to a blacktop track since I've came back who still runs an Australian Pursuit or Crack the Whip race, but reading race results up in Ohio last summer, I did see that there are still dirt tracks that run pursuit races.
