  • The answer to one of the questions about Full Throttle speedway

This one is mostly for Frasson118 but I thought I knew the answer but wanted to speak with Mike or Kevin in person before I gave the wrong answer.

Yesterday at the Full throttle work day I asked them about the no re-entry rule that use to be in place at Desoto speedway. The answer I got was, That was the first sign taken down. With your ticket stub and a hand stamp you will be allowed to go from the stands to your car as many times as you would like during the course of a racing event.

Mike and Kevin are working hard to make this into great race track for the Fans and Drivers. I can tell you from the conversation yesterday they may not come on here and respond, because they are spending so much time getting the track ready for opening night, but they do see your comments and questions and are acting on them. I was told they saw the concern of the no-reentry and took care of that right away.

Hope this answers on of you guys questions

Hope to see you all at Full Throttle Speedway on April 27th for Grand Opening.

THANK YOU Robert & Full Throttle. Great decision.

I may have been the most vocal about this, but believe me, I'm not alone in my thinking. Looking forward to my first trip down there in several years.

Your welcome Jerry. I thought I knew the answer because it is the same as Punta Gorda but I did not want to post until I knew first hand.

Jerry let me know when your coming so I can make sure and say hello.

I know one question about Full Throttle Speedway formerly known as Desoto Speedway that hasn't been answered. How the hell do you get ahold of them???
Rather than drive out there i decided to call instead. The only phone number i could find was the old PG number. Nobody answered, went into an announcement about upcoming races being moved back, no beep to leave a message, and then into someones voice mail. I tried several days ago, no one answered, message said that mailbox was full so couldn't even leave a message.
I would have been happy to e-mail them, but they're keeping that a secret too.
I'm not an experienced race track owner, but it seems to me that even before you paint the fences ( or while you paint the fences ) , you would have the very basics already in place. Like a working phone number that a real person answers. Or an e-mail address. Or a mailbox that wasn't full and could accept messages.

i dont mean to be rude but you dont have a clue what Kevin is going thru right now. Full Throttle Speedway isnt even open yet. They are killing themselves preparing for their opening which is several weeks away. So please be patient !
Kevin isnt the culprit here. He is a man who is dedicated to giving racers and fans a wonderful, SAFE, CLEAN place to race....he was screwed and now rebuilding... when the place is open i guarantee there will be the same track information given to fans and drivers. Right now everyone's as busy as they can possibly be. Please dont take the wind out of our sails. its been a rough journey.

Once again, Matt is right. A working phone number at a place of business is about the very first priority to have. I'd WANT my phone to ring as often as possible. When my phone doesn't ring, then it's time to worry.

If Kevin is too busy, put someone else in charge of answering the phone. At the very least, have a clear (or at least accessible) message box so people can ask their questions and return their calls at a better time.

PS - Carol.... Matt never mentioned Kevin or anyone else. He just stated a fact, he didn't place blame on anyone.

Here is the Telephone number I have I think it goes to the new track

                Tel: 941-748-3171

also if you go to www.puntagordaspeedway.com and click the contact us it goes to the operations e-mail which will get you to who you need for your questions. That e-mail is being used still at this time until there is a new website.

                Hope that helps

                Robert
