I know he lost a lot of fans with his bonehead move on the Daytona flat track. His performance today at Bristol, his second time on the track and first in a Nationwide suggests he will be a force to reckon with as he gets seat time and familiarity with the tracks. I don't know how similar the cup cars and Nationwide cars are but today was essentially one groove with no passing on the inside if the other car had anything at all. We will have to see what tomorrow brings.
WE'VE MOVED!!!

I can only think of 3 drivers in my lifetime that compare to the natural talent that Kyle Larson has. Only AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti and Tony Stewart have had the ability to jump into ANY car, on any surface, of any track length, and drive straight to the front.
The kid is truly amazing, and never BOUGHT his way into anything he does. He didn't come from family money. Talent alone is getting him to the top... the people with the money will spend it to have THAT kid driving their stuff.
He's still young enough, versatile enough, and talented enough that I think he'd make a great F-1 racer... and the USA hasn't had one of those since Mario in the 70's.

Agreed that Jack was VERY good.... but didn't really diversify very much. If it was an open-wheel car, or a Dirt LM, he could run with anyone, anywhere. But he never had much interest in Stock cars at all, or Asphalt in general. Most of his paved racing was in the Silver Crown cars while running for the points. Other asphalt appearances were usually ties into an extra ride while he was at those tracks anyways.
He did get to fulfill a dream by running the Indy 500 though... and Kyle has NOT done that yet. Give it 1 more year, and Ganassi will have him in it.
