As far as I can tell, Matt has spoken pretty much the truth. He sounds to me like a guy that would LOVE to support a well attended, well supported, well reported racing program. He'd love to see 20 or 30 cars in every class. All the hype behind this said it could happen, starting at Auburndale.

So.... he asks the question, and what does he get? The track announcer and the Truck series director jumping down his throat for ASKING how it went.

He's skeptical..... like a lot of us are over the latest, newest fad in traveling series.

Instead of a link, some helpful hints, or even just a 'thanks for your interest', he instead got a blasting from you two.

Nice job of "promoting" our sport, that most would agree needs a lot more promotion.... instead, you two decided to throw out an ass-chewing.

If you guys can't figure out how to handle an honest answer to a legitimate question.... do the entire industry a favor. Get out of it now....

I don't know Tim or Matt and don't have a dog in the fight. A lot of people have no idea how hard it is to do things immediately. Family should come first. I know I used to try to get photos out the same night of the race. I often saw the sun come up in the morning and hadn't yet gone to bed. There were a few times I was just to tired to do it. I often had 12 to 14 working hours on race day including the travel, and sometimes would not see the bed for 24 to 36 hours. When it's 90 degrees out and humid, it can be a killer. Other track people have the same but most fans don't realize that. If you have a regular job you're working at, kids with events that should be attended, or haven't seen your family in weeks, etc., etc., maybe posting the results isn't a priority. It is more than just a 4 minute job. Unless you have a digital printout on a memory disc or something, it has to be typed up and then posted. See how fast you can do that. I thought Tim's first response was polite, informative, but without results, probably because he didn't have them readily available on a memory card. He said they'd be up later and thanked everyone for their support. I then saw Matt's reply and I think Tim probably responded in a manner better than I would have. The results were posted but, for whatever reason, Karnac now posts them in a separate area and people didn't look there. I won't comment on Rick's post but I think I know where he's coming from. Jerry, you and I know each other and we usually agree on most things. I think you may have overreacted here. Just try to put yourself in the guys position.

This thread has pretty much made up my mind about the FUPS series. I think i'll pass on the series. It doesn't sound like i'll be missed.

Funny thing is Matt you are blaming the series, and we are not the series !

FRASS made another wrong statement, I am not the Truck series director anymore. I built the truck series back up last season but stepped away and turned over to FUPS. I simply am stating what you have stated and when you made Tim sound like the guy to blame........again trying to get results about a series that you have stated you do not care for, or think is worth having. I however am helping to sponsor the truck series and try to make it a strong series. Your opinion of the series is yours to have, but the only reason you want to know the car count is so you can say "see I told you so, it dos not work. Well it actually did, and to think that many tracks or series are having record car counts is nuts, there are exceptions but the UARA had 16, and others were in the 20 race. The ARCA race was even down at Mobile. So I think when you have 18 trucks, 21 Sportsman and 16 Modifieds that is not to bad. If you want to stay away from the series, your choice but dont say or blame two people who are not officials on the series for your reason, from your posts you have had your mind made up for awhile.

I'm not trying to beat anyone up but don't say the results are posted when they aren't. I guess that you didn't matter if your not top 3.

If neither Tim or Rick are with the FUPS Series, who IS in charge of PR???

Is ANYBODY responsible for sending out information? If there is, they should be doing it. Is it maybe Rick Williams? Is it the host track for that week? Is it Carol Andrews? Or is it nobody at all?

There sure was plenty of time to post info leading UP to this event, but the minute it's over, everyone is too busy to follow up on it. The ONLY one who has been any help is Carol Andrews.

Certainly there is a list of ALL finishers in every class at the end of every racing program.... it's called a pay-out sheet. It's so they know how much to pay every driver based on their finishing position. There is one made up at every racetrack on every night they run. It doesn't take an Einstein to figure this stuff out.... it's ALREADY been figured out by the official scorers.

Writing a race report does take much more time and effort.... but results can be as simple as 'cut & paste'.

And quoting from Rick "Monday is certainly a fine time to post the results and send them out". Monday has come & gone. Tuesday probably will also. How long are people supposed to be patient before they just give up completely?

It has been on the Karnac Front Page since yesterday with all the results of the races there. Listed under the track.

That's correct. I read the results yesterday (Monday) on the Karnac - Fl Racing News section. A nice job of the results as well, very informative. Now that it is Tuesday I see where articles about; Bubba, WOO LM, Dylan Martin, the FUPS LM for 3/16. N Fl, Putnam, Hendry, Showtime & Citrus have relegated the A'Dale story to the bottom of the page. IMO - this has been one of the best weeks for results posting in a long, long time. Plenty of info on what took place last weekend. Congrats to the writers and Karnac. Keep up the good work...

You have to remember Frass and apparently Matt are not satisfied by much !

Frass has even said before himself that if you want to know the results so much go watch the race yourself, now he has joined with Matt in pounding FUPS, actually Tim for the results not being out right after the races were completed. He does not work at the track all day to help put on the show, get home at 3 a.m. and just want to rest. He is a super fan, knows all, has opinions on all and tells all. I have seen his posts for years and have tried to just blow them off. But knowing all the drivers of the past and going to all the races you can at all the different tracks does not make you an authority when you spew negativity all over. Someone who goes against the very thing he once ranted about on here to someone else who wanted to see results. Do everyone a favor Frass and Matt do not go to a FUPS race, dont support it, that is your choice, but leave the poor people that are trying to make it work, the ones who work to try to make the shows go alone, I am sure you won't as I said it would be a favor. Really sad then you think about it. Thanks to Tim, thanks to Carol and to the people trying to make FUPS and the racing work.
