After all the hype for a week over Danica and another to come I'm sure it was nice to read a very good article in The Daytona Beach News Journal, sports page, page 2. Was amazed it was even one page BEFORE another huge article on Danica! Bugsy was one of the greatest drivers ever in his day and still is on of the best people alive. I consider it an honor to be a friend of Bugsy. He raced in the day when you built your own cars and worked on them and raced them at night after working all day at your day job. Loved the story Bugsy told me about when he bought a hearse, had his pit man drive him to the track, sometimes hundreds of miles away at night and when they reached the sign in booth the driver slammed on the brakes. Bugsy said when he bounced off the floor he knew it was time to sign it! I really laugh when I see the big time drivers today in their million dollar motor homes parked beside their multi million dollar haulers and pit crews. Drivers today cry if they lose the power steering at Martinsville, in the days of the old coupe big blocks the mod boys ran 500 miles there with NO power steering!! Things have sure changed!

I grew up at norwood arena, my family--father, uncles ect, drove or built or worked on alot of cars there. I was just like my grandchildren now at PGS, a little boy running around, knowing all the drivers, having fun, now you know where my family gets it from Carol. I have alot of great memories from my childhood at that track.
