Beach Parade this morning

Pretty cool event, and well attended. The city closed A1A for awhile so that about 30 or so Antique racecars could take a lap of the old Beach Course. The original North turn has condo's built on it, so they used the ramp alongside the North Turn Grill.

Afterwards, went in the Grill for lunch and met Marvin Panch there.

Very interesting day, and a LOT of old-timers came out to witness it. Well worth my time.

Went to New Smyrna last night, the Beach today, and am now at Volusia. Headed for 2 more shows in Ocala tomorrow. Man, do I LOVE Speedweeks...!!!!

I thought it was a really neat deal. The event got plenty of advance publicity in the local papers which drove the excellent turnout of spectators. New England legend Dave Dion was wheeling one of the old cars in the parade, which was pretty cool. Nice way to spend a Saturday morning.
