At this point, James does not have a ride for the Powell Memorial race. It would be a shame if he wasn't entered in this race. Of all the Powell Memorials to date, I believe this would be the first that saw him on the sidelines instead of the starting grid. His career started on Dirt, and I'm sure he can still wheel one around with the best of them.
If anyone has a Dirt Late Model connection, please help this man out with a one-time ride. Maybe a few folks pooling resources would get it done.... someone with a car, another with a truck and trailer, someone to sponsor a set of tires, someone to throw a few gallons of race fuel in the tank.
From what I've heard, the people that have been contacted so far all believed that there was already a ride lined up, which is NOT true.
Please pass the word, and hopefully we will see him in a car for the most important race of the year for the entire Powell family!
