If you are an asphalt guy go to the speedway and watch the K & N late models and the modifieds. If you want to feel like a sardine stuffed in those bleachers Volusia is great.

I won't go there to watch a short track show, they are screwing the short tracks again and I guess you don't see it. Started doing all there racing on sat. evenings instead of afternoons like they use to, to f--- the short tracks around united states, now They are trying to grab some short track racing away from NSS, I just think it is wrong. Go enjoy your race, they won't get my money Tuesday. Be different watching the late models throwing some dirt

I can't agree on the Daytona/NSS point. Granted, most divisions aren't run at both tracks, but the Modifieds do. The result was more Mods coming to Fla this year than in any time in recent memory. Some of these teams and drivers have NEVER been at New Smyrna... but they're coming THIS year.

I see it as mutually beneficial to both tracks to work this out together.

And face another fact..... Nascar has found that TV ratings for a Saturday night show are usually very good. Good ratings drive TV revenue, and we all know that NASCAR is much more into money, than they are into tradition.

What I find interesting, is when Nascar hosts a night event, it really hurts the Asphalt short tracks.... the dirt tracks usually have great fields, nice attendance, and a crowd that doesnt give 2 shits that Nascar is on TV that night.

Instead of complaining that they are attempting to ruin the short tracks..... GO to one instead. I'd rather have any track in Florida get my money than to support the already rich. The only time it really comes into play, is the choice of going to the Firecracker 400 on a Saturday night, or a local track. I usually pick the things I can only see once or twice a year, over a show I could catch last week or next week.

$42.00 to get in the grandstand tonight at Volusia (you get a free pit pass).....no thanks. May just cut my speedweek short as no one has provided me the entertainment for the $$$$$$$$$$YET!
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I think that NASCAR just did a great thing for short tracks all over the world...
6 mil people just got a taste of bullring racing.
I think the races sucked butthe new fan might go to weekley shows now.
For 10 weeks after days of thunder aired the stans at my track were packed, Now if the racer and promoter will give them a show they might come back
