While Trickle ran all over the United States amassing all kinds of wins and made it all the way to NASCAR Winston Cup, Koehler stayed at home in Chicago, IL where he was top dog at Raceway Park in Blue Island, IL for many years racing against guys like Don Oldenberg and Bob Pronger (who both ran NASCAR for several years) and others like Larry Schuler, Stash Kullman, Ray Young, Ted Janecyk and a host of other top notch shoes... At one track, Koehler won over 500 feature races... He was the Raceway Park stock car champion in 1949, 1952, , 1954, 1957, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1975, and 1976...Comment

He won a few at Soldier Field and Mazon Speed Bowl also that I saw.The money comes and goes.
