Our ChumpCar team has two open seats for the race at Road Atlanta next weekend. The event is 14 hours and is on the "full course" The event starts early Saturday morning and ends Saturday evening. We race in the rain, snow, sleet hail...whatever. Last year we ran in Tropical Storm Debbie at Daytona. The weather for this weekend is looking to be very nice with a high of around 60 with a 20% chance of rain.
The cost per driver is $950. That includes your entry fees and share of the expendables ( tires, fuel, brakes, BEER and transportation costs). We are leaving out early Friday morning and will be returning Sunday morning. The track is located in Braselton, GA about an hour north of Atlanta. We typically split the costs of the hotel which works out to be around $100 bucks a person. We supply all the tools and equipment needed, all you need to bring is your safety equipment and a good attitude. All drivers are expected to assist with live pit stops, tire changes, refueling and minor mechanical work if needed. Each team consists of 4 drivers and we swap out drivers every 1:45-1:50 mins....so in a perfect world we each get 3.5 hours of drive time.
We run Honda's...one is a 1996 Civic with a JDM F20B DOHC Vtec that puts down 215 hp ( car weighs 1900 lbs) and the other is a 1994 Acura Integra with the LS Vtec swap. Both cars were built by Glen Webster and have adjustable seats, adjustable coil overs, radios, driver cooling systems, Falken tires, HAWK brakes and are very safe. We are only interested in EXPERIENCED drivers and all drivers must sign a release of liability and drivers contract. Call with any questions.
