Thanks for the # and I'll pass it onto ARCA. ARCA is trying to locate all the past winners of the ARCA race at Daytona as its the 50th anniversery this year of them running the big track and they want to host them all.

Rick's career may have gone differently if he had put Bill Elliot a lap down in the Firecracker 400...he was leading and failed to do so...Bill came back to pass him at the end to win, Wlison second. This was 1988 before the lucky dog rule.

Not just 2nd either... side-by-side at the stripe, Elliott by a nose.

Wilson was my first "favorite" when I started going to Daytona.. the only Florida driver, sponsored by Kodak, who basically OWNS my home town of Rochester NY. That near-win was disappointing, but I figured he'd break through someday soon, and become a top racer. Didn't know at the time he would never get that close to a win again. Good racer though....
