I'm really hoping the USAC Midget shows at NSS turn out to be worthwhile... The problem you have is that they can barely get 15 cars for an asphalt race in their own backyard (Midwest), so I think they'll need to get some cross-over teams from other Midget racing organizations in order to get a strong field... Although the two nights are the first two nights for USAC National Midget points, only a handful of drivers actually run for points. As of 1/14 there were already eight entries received which is great, but there's only a couple of guys I've ever heard of before... It would be nice just to get ten percent of the 268 teams that ran the Chili Bowl... That would be 27 cars and well worth the trip to NSS...

I spoke with someone at USAC the other day and they said in their initial inquiries to find out if they had enough teams that they were expecting 20-24. Time will tell if that is accurate.
