  • Looking for Late Model Driver Development Team

    Hi,
I'm brand new to the site and still getting my feet wet, but I think that this is the right place for the thread. I'm 14 years old and I'm looking to make the jump into the FUPLMS and possibly the local races around the state.
    Best Wishes...

If you haven't raced before, then I don't think you should be driving a late model. You have to crawl before you can walk.

My advice would be to hang out at race tracks and talk to people. Get some knowledge about racing in general. There is more to racing than just getting on a track and pressing the gas. Maybe talk to the Bandolaro or 4 cylinder guys.

Sorry about not providing more details. I have raced karts and minimal experience driving legends. I'm just looking for a competitive team to help me make the jump.

You may wanna get a 4cyl bomber car first. Try it some people watch from the stands or on t.v. And think they can be the next Jimmie Johnson. Like Veasey said you have to crawl before you walk . Good luck though .

I hate to give you a reality check, but I don't think an owner of $50,000+ car is going to let you just jump in and go. The only way I see you driving a late model would be you buying one or building it yourself.

The best way, as I have already stated, was to go to the track and start rubbing elbows.

I do have experience karting and minimal experience in a legends car. Again, if any of you know of a race winning team that is open for driver development please let me know.

              Bah !!!!!!

You guys know none of that watching or driving controlable cars make any difference.
Kid , just back Dad's armored truck up to the pit gate and you be zinging around in the fastest ride in the state in no time .

Hell , he didn't even say. He might be an experienced go kart racer already. That would be enough to get him an Indy car ride right away . (if he wore a dress)
