Dalton Zehr will compete in the V8 StockCar race at Sebring International Raceway, June 7 & 8. Zehr Racing recently converted one of their late models to road race configuration. The car is classed in our V8 GTA division and sports a new 500 HP class legal motor and road race geared Jerico four speed. Dalton debuted the car this past weekend at Moroso in West Palm. Despite starting shotgun on the field,(did not make it out for qualifying) Dalton finished third in class and sixth overall in the big bore race. Dad, Marty, stated the car performed well and they were very satisfied and have only a few small changes to make.
Dalton began competing in SCCA last year at 16 years old and already owns track records at Daytona and Sebring in the Shelby Can Am class. The Shelby Can Am cars are wedge shaped, open cockpit, very light sports racers
with about 350 HP. Zehr Racing is also looking to compete at scheduled races at Road Atlanta in July and Daytona in August.
