The pic is before a car has ever been out there,it has been groomed into a track since...The guardrails are the front and backstretch. The concrete barriers are around the turns.

Went there last nite & I would call it good family fun.Was impressed at the amout of fans that came out.Track actualy looks bigger than the pic. They had about six 8cyl and eight 4 cyl cars plus a dirt late model running some hot laps.

What is cool is that you can tailgate on the front or backstretch.Back your pickup to the fence and open the cooler

From what I hear grandstands are in the future.

Who had a late model there? It's not too small for them. Check out Belle Clair and Macon Speedways. They are both 1/5 miles. Of course this new track needs to get established first.

              Melbourne Motorsports Park Dirt Track

First, I want to thank all of the fans, racers and supporters for their support and attendance of last night's event. We had a few minor glitches which will be worked on, but overall our first night of racing went pretty well and all seemed to be having a great time.

There were a few racers that weren't able to get their cars completed in time for the race last night, but hope to be there for our next race on Saturday January 19th, 2013.

For now it is bring your own chair(s) but grandstands are in the plans for the future. If you get there early enough you can pull your vehicle right up to the front or back stretch and "tailgate" to watch the race. Unfortunately because of all the broken glass from last night there will be NO GLASS permitted for future events, but other than that, bring your cooler with whatever beverages you like in cans or plastic. There is also the Guardrail Grill on site where you can grab a bite to eat, soda, gatorade, water, etc.

It is only $10 per adult to enter, children under 10 are free. Another $10 per car to enter into the race. The 2nd $10 goes right into the purse and will paid 100% to the winner. If you plan to race please make sure you check the rules on our facebook page. We hope to be able to put together more classes in the future, but for right now we are running an 8 cyl class and a 4 cyl class.

Thanks again and we hope to see you out there!!!

This is a great concept in this day. Like Jimmy said, "Deland". I don't remember any grandstands there, just a couple of benches, and some good racing. Keep it simple and affordable, and this will be a fun track. Good Luck. billy

PS. Don't rely on facebook to much. It didn't help Bronson. Use KARNAC, and other reliable racing forms plus some local advertising.

                    Hey MMSP,

I have no problem parking my car and trailer( let me clean it up first) in some popular parking lots to generate some interest. Add a couple of your signs like the ones near the interstate, and that should do some good.
My fun is based on your success !!!!

The "tailgating" on the front & backstretch is a great concept. If and when you add grandstands, you may want to consider putting them in the north turn

Marion County Speedway run both winged and non-wing 4cyl Sprints... They put on a hell of a show on the 1/4 mile dirt track and only one mile down the road from BRP...
