We had more than thirty stock cars and Trans Am/ GT-1 types at Virginia International Raceway this past weekend. Included were Bob Schacht of ARCA who brought out his brand new ARCA road race car. Bob put on a show with his 800 plus-plus hp stocker, also Lee Arnold in an ex Boris Said South West Tour car, Speed Channel Touring Mazda Factory Driver Chip Herr in an ex Gary St Amant ASA car (Chip will be in an ARCA car at the New Jersey road race). The track has 17 turns and 130 ft of elevation change and a 4000 ft straight in a park like setting. On the grounds are condo's with race shops below, a hotel, a beautiful 1800's farm house that is now a top flight restaurant and tavern, a one mile go kart course and more. The 3.27 mile course is located on something like 1200 acres just outside Danville, VA.
Very-Very Cool.
