Looks like a *very* stock front clip; maybe a mandated wheelbase of about 84", treaded tires, and no wings. Pretty much everything else open...

The week after this picture was taken, the next teenage sensation pulled in with daddy's toter and stacker. They had just returned from NC with two new cars right off a racecar builders jig, 4 sets of mounted tires, two mechanics and an engine tuner.

Also, the track cut their advertised purse because there were less than the 12 cars required. Although the track new the class was starting from scratch and that only 5 cars existed on the planet, they still chose to send everyone home angry.

In an attempt to make the cars less repulsive and more attractive to "series sponsors", ABC bodies (that must fit the template) were soon mandated.

As a "cost saving" measure, engine availability was limited to only a few "approved" builders, and racing tires that lasted two nights were soon required.

            Interest rapidly declined...

Sarcasm aside: yes it does look like fun.
