Hey Raz, How come there are no Results posted on NFS since 4-19-08? Doesn't Liz give you the results? I don't attend races anymore, but I still try and keep up with who wins and what the standings are now. Never seen such a dead web site, no one gets on there anymore. How come? Racing there used to be exciting and controversial, isn't anyone allowed to express their opinions?

That's a multi-faceted question that I'll do my best to answer...

I spoke with Liz last night about updating the points and results...apparently she's been sending them to both me and the Flagman, but didn't realize until last night that neither one of us were receiving them. That will be corrected. She's stays pretty busy being a new mother and managing all that they do.

As far as a "dead website" I'm guessing you referring to the Forum, which has indeed, been pretty inactive. This is for a couple reasons. 1) I need to upgrade their version to a newer platform which blocks the hundreds of spammers which register every week. The forum is bombarded with spam-bots which links unwanted solicitations. We'll probably be updating that soon. 2) I don't think they're in too much of a hurry to upgrade. It does what they need it to do....gets the word out. You state "Racing there used to be exciting and controversial, isn't anyone allowed to express their opinions?"

Unfortunately, some folks opinions involve malicious slander and hostile messages. Who the hell needs them? It certainly doesn't do anything to promote the track, so why bother? There's still plenty of people who feel the excitement of racing has more to do with RACING than malicious bullcrap. The track-ran forums have a tendency to embrace positive posts which promote their business, but there's still plenty of other forums that allow trite and jaded verbosity.

Yeah...there's a lot there. It's like I was saying Saturday....I'm NOT a professional photographer, but if I take 800 pictures, chances are, 10 or 20 of them will turn out!

They're there for the downloading as well. I post instructions on how to download them and send them off to WalMart, who will print ya off two 8 X 10s for around $6. So if anyone sees a picture of your car you want printed out, feel free to download all you want. I'm not in this for the money....I just like getting my shoes all muddy.

I hear you man, If I was in it for the money I'd go get a job at Publix Bagging groceries. I just love what I do. Though I have to make a little to support my equiptment. Video equipt is so expensve you wouldn't believe it. All though I will say I can do things now with a $4000 computer than would have cost me $1.5 to $2 million when I started in 1983. I've had to buy a new editor since we were up there. Gotta sell a lot of video to pay for that puppy. But I really had no choice if I wanted to stay in bussiness. I have work piled so high I can't see over it. My computer being down for 1 1/2 weeks really piled things up. But I love it. I am going to try and ave NFS done By the end of the week.

Videos are a far cry from pictures. I wouldn't even attempt to put together anything like you do. It takes more talent than I possess to capture and record a race, while trying to convey the heat of the action AND each individual races "personality." Considering you have in excess of 30 cars at times, scattered across the entire run of the track, I can only imagine the complexity of the profession. I have it on good authority that you have mastered this art, so I wait anxiously and will order the NFS race as soon as they are available.

Both you, Rick Warren and all the other race media professionals are to be commending on your dedication to racing. Thanks from one fan who truly appreciates your efforts. Long after the race has ended, we will still have your works to relive the events.
