I was told that they only had 17 cars at bronson and not bashing that at all because some permoters would kill for 17 cars. I was also told that the ASA officals because of the 17 cars took the left over money that they didn't have to pay and put it back into the purse and payed 4000 to win and 750 to start wow talk about taking care of your racers. If it was one of are touring series they would of just put it there back pocket. On top of all of that you can run a limited in that series and from what I've been told its 600 to start the series race talk about getting the cars to come if someone would just take a chance and do it a couple of times the would have a great series and good car counts around here.

If my eyes and math are good, I counted 15 cars that started the race. Young driver Travis Cope did a very good and persistant performance.
Our Sportsman race started off a little hairy too. Matt Blum took the checker.
The car count is sad at Bronson and I can't understand WHY...It a very nice track and an excellent and friendly staff. I'm only racin' part time now, due to personal reasons, but we like Bronson and will continue to race there. Several Ocala asphalt cars and drivers are there each week. Some race dirt on Friday at Ocala and asphalt at Bronson of Saturday.
------JIM-----RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

Travis Cope
Well, lets nominate the guy for Driver of the Month!
Every since he started... he's been up there with the big boys and doing very well. Nothing shy about KID COPE once he sees the green flag.
He is the spittin image of me when I was that age - NOT
I am sure we will see him go very far in his racing career. Sure comes from a good racin blood line (Granddad, Grandmother, Uncle and Dad).
OSFThank a Police Officer for what they do........... OSF:
