John Koller from Grand Island, FL won the 2012 Donnie Tanner Memorial Series point championship at East Bay Raceway Park. John had a disapointing race after getting into a crash when Jack Nosbich Jr. spun in front of him coming out of turn 4 early in the 50 lapper. The incident also collected Ivadent Loyd Jr. The car was never quite as good after that and John limped home to a 12th place finish in the series closer. The finish was good enough to hold off second place points finisher Phillip Cobb by 7 points in the final tally.
