  • Florida racers at Winchester 400

Good Luck to Jeff Choquette, Steven Nasse & Ben Kennedy who are all in Indiana right now. Looks to be a 43 car field going for 400 laps in this premier event.

Bubba Pollard only gets 1 qualifying lap.... forgot to install the transponder into the car. Timing lights did not pick him up on his original 1st lap, and was sent to the pits.

Don't recall hearing something like this before...!

Kyle Benjamin wins the Winchester 400. At one point he was 2 laps down, got them both back. Lost another lap, and regained that one also. Came from behind and passed Ross Kenseth on the final corner of the final lap.

Kenseth got 2nd, Chase Elliott 3rd, Johnny VanDoorn in 4th and Bubba Pollard in 5th. Ben Kennedy wound up 15th after getting swept into someone else's crash, Jeff Choquette was 16th after getting clipped by an out of shape Jay Niewick, and Steven Nasse was 26th after losing a tire and resulting damage. All 3 of our guys were top-5/top-10 cars all day until late problems.
Sounded like a very exciting race.
All 3, plus winner Kyle Benjamin will likely be running next months Gov Cup race at NSS.

Kyle Benjamin WILL be at the 47th Annual Florida Governor's Cup 200 per his Website/Schedule.

Stephen Nasse is also scheduled to be at the Gov Cup as well.

Benjamin was a multiple feature winner back in February in World Series competition.

Freddie Query is the crew chief on that car..... he's been around a loooooong time. Freddie wouldn't just "forget" to change the chip. Sounds like a definite advantage over the legal cars.

Bet he doesn't forget to change it by the time they get to New Smyrna.
