Thanks for the reminder about TBARA Sprints, had slipped my mind. Now I know where I will try and head on Saturday as these Sprinters really put on a show at Citrus. The other divisions are going to be as good as well. A super show awaits. Yes, the 5:30 starting time is in effect.Check out the Citrus web site for the complete show, OWM, and dwarfs plus more. NO RAIN PLEASE!!!
Weather was great.....all heats finished except two TBARA heats , actually one lap left in their first heat as well, and then bang...boom...bang the rain moved in. After quite a wait the races were cancelled.
Damn, we were heading for a good night, what a drag that it rained. The TBARA had 24 cars in the pits and ready to go. My car was trouble-free and I was starting in the second row of the heat. Of course there were plenty of friends around too. It would have been nice to hang out after and get something to eat, but there was just no way tonight.
I did get to run two practice sessions, but when the rain came, I was strapped in and waiting in staging. So close....
It was good seeing a lot of old friends last night, even made some new ones. I have to admit that was one of the best fields of sprints I have seen in a long time, that was fixing on being one hell of a show, but then the rain came.I was told the rain date is 10/20 SAME NIGHT as a 75 lap mod race if that is true that should be great night of open wheel madness, now if someone could put it on the radio and promote the hell out of it the week before it could be standing room only JMO. MAYBE a couple of cars on display in town, give a couple of free tickets out more than likely if someone comes WITH A FREE TICKET there bringing someone with them thats buying ONE.
