LAKELAND - Grace Ferrell "Jeff" Barfield, 85, passed away on October 01, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to cancer.
Jeff was born on June 15, 1927 in Tallahassee, FL to Fred and Jessie Ferrell. She was a member of the College Heights United Methodist Church and was active in Sprint Car Racing both locally and nationally. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.
Jeff is survived by her husband, R. Lee Barfield of Lakeland, her sons, Brad (Betty) of Lakeland, and Mark (Lisa) of Deltona, FL, three grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 1 pm at Heath Funeral Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
