OSW Canceled - 9/21

9/21 RACING CANCELED

Tonight's racing (9/21) has been canceled due to Track Conditions. Several inches of rain have fallen over the past 48 hours with more forecast for this afternoon. OSW Rae Director Butch Pierce said the track has been seeping steadily and continually for a few days now and is just not safe for racing tonight.

We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing everyone on Friday October 5th for the FASCAR Weekly Racing Series Super Late Models, Pro-Trucks, Sportsman, E-Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini-Stocks, Strictly Stocks, Legends and Bandoleros. Racing is slated for 8:00pm on 10/5. General Admission will be $12.00 Adults, Kids 11 & under FREE.

Naturally my car was loaded and ready.
Now what? Auburndale? Citrus? Showtime? I'd like to make my first trip to Ellisville, but it is a bit of a haul...

Every year its the same thing: Speedworld sits idle during the dry months, most of the races are scheduled for the season when the track collects water like a swamp, and no time or effort is put into fixing the drainage problem.

Set up a slot car track in the tech shed and race for points that way. Could have a web cam installed to watch the races online.
