  • Calling All Mod Minis

the biggest payout in the state for this Saturday at desoto super speedway .....come out for some good hard racing .......see ya saturday

  • #2
i looked on the website and could not find any payout information anywhere. so what is the actual payout? i just don't understand advertising the 'biggest payout in the state' and then not even posting the payout while other tracks have all of their payout posted entirely. as a side note, since the website was made entirely in flash you can not see it at all on any apply products. (iPhone, iPad, etc.)

I am not in any way speaking for the track but I am sure it would depend on how close to the 15 ....meaning the more cars the more money....only my guess

think i will stay clear. it sounds a little shady to me if they wont jist say outright how much you are racing for. good payout or not i think they shoudl tell you so theres no chance for any surprises on either side.

Really it's the same way at Showtime.......we drive all the way up then after he sees how many cars show up he pays the most he can......it's the same all over the state , if that "scares" you then more than likely you weren't going to show up anyway.

If you want to race, go and do it, regardless of the money. If at the end of the night you are not satisfied with the pay, let them know at that time. I suggest that comments from a competitor carry a lot more weight than any internet discussion.

Don't forget to have fun driving in circles while you are there!

i would say that is where you are wrong. the phrase 'biggest payout in the state' is enticing. as far as show up to see what the purse will be, i know orlando and smyrna payouts for all divisions are posted, and have been, clearly on their websites for years. i thought at one point inverness did also but i cant find them right now and i honestly don know about auburndale or the others so it is not the same all over the state. i just think if you are trying to use your purse lure racers there you should at least post the entire purse. jus my opinion. or they can just say that it will depend on how many cars are there instead of trying lure based on 'biggest' purse.

                        Mod Mini

I don't have a dog in the fight, but is there any one else out there putting that kind of purse up for you're class. I'M sure if you call lil john you can get it worked out. Like the BONEMAN said if you want to show up and race and if you are not happy at the end of the night tell them, cuz yu won't no if yu don't show

if by 'all tracks' you mean this one then you are right. i also know if you read the payouts for smyrna and orlando, they pay a better purse for a 50 lap mini with no min. car count. ( they list the different car counts and complete purse for regular races then the 50 lap purse for every division - and i'm pretty sure citrus did or does as well)

i know the one time i was there (orlando) for a mini 50 and there were less than ten cars they gathered the drivers and asked what they wanted to do. im sorry but there are some uneducated posts here. the question is a fairly easy one if they care to share the information (as other tracks have no problem with it) what is the payout for less than 15 or will it be solely based on car count? is there a reason they are being so tight lipped about it? and if they do not want to post the full purse, after using that as their lure to come race there, then why would anyone with any sense not be a little suspicious of this?

i still don't see what's wrong with knowing the purse before spending the money. i never said anything negative about the purse, just simply asked, if you're using that to lure me there, then tell me what it is. what the hell is so wrong with that? if you read my posts completely i am not trashing the purse or even the track just wanting to know what it is. simple as that.
